A Reply to Beinart, Part 0

It's pretty amazing how much excitement Bienart's article in the current New Republic has generated. It says a lot about the core problem the progressive center faces - the conversation has deteriorated to the point where a nickel tour of early cold-war history qualifies as deep thinking about why we should purge the only people in the Democratic party that actually get anybody excited about anything.
